![]() ![]() Clint/Hawkeyes is also one of my favorites and Scarlet Witch but other than a brief mentioning they did not get much. I am still glad I read this but it did not contain all of the interactions I had hoped. The Guardians part really gave more of the backstory on Nebula and Gamora which was interesting. Since IW seemed to portray the two having grown closer in mentor/protege I was hoping this would flush some of that out much as this story did for Natasha, Sam and Steve Rogers, Dr Strange and Wong, Thor and the Guardians. Maybe it is some copyright issue but he got honorable mention in about a paragraph's worth as "kid" in conversation between Happy and Stark. The backstories of Black Widow, Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Dr Strange and Wong, of SHIELD and Thor were not bad at all but I had been hoping for more Spider-Man and Iron Man interaction maybe the two of them working in the lab together. Woven throughout, readers follow Tony Stark as he interacts with his old friend Happy Hogan all while being driven to upgrade his armor incessantly. The book touches on events from each of the Phase 3 films, and even gives very brief recaps of events from prior phase films as well. Follow Nebula through the events of the Guardians’s films. Witness Doctor Strange and Wong ward off a threat to the Earth. ![]() Follow the events of Ragnarok from Heimdall’s perspective and learn how he feels about the sons of Odin. What happened to Black Widow after the airport battle in Civil War? She has an encounter with Everett Ross where readers get a peek into her mind to see how she feels about Steve Rogers. The book answers questions that, while not exactly burning, flesh out events and provide insight into characters. ![]() This novel provides connecting threads between the films, with perspectives from other characters besides the Avengers. (The cynic in me was thinking “cash grab” to capitalize on Infinity War.) However, it does so much more than just recap events. ![]() I expected this to be a novelization recap of the Phase 3 MCU films. ![]()
